Respect for Self, Others, and Property
We hold a high standard of appropriate behavior in the Computer Magnet. Students are expected to abide by all rules and behave respectfully to all staff members and student body.
Character Matters
Who you are is more important that what you are. Honesty, integrity, kindness, work ethic, and perseverance are traits that determine who you really are. Strive to be your best in both character and achievement.
Be on time
The Computer Magnet will follow the policy implemented by Thomas Jefferson High School. You can expect a consequence, such as detention, loss of computer use, either by the school or the Computer Magnet Program.
Classroom Cleanliness
Please do your part to keep the magnet rooms clean. No food or drink is allowed in the magnet classrooms. We are fortunate to have modern, bright rooms - lets keep them clean.
Missing Materials
Bring, beg, or borrow! You are expected to bring your own headphones and writing implements
Daily Blog/Journal and Assignment
The assignment for the day will be posted on the class website. It is your responsibility to read it every day and know what is required for that day. There will also be a "Daily Journal or blog " assignment on the class web page every day. When you enter the classroom, you are to start working on this assignment. You are expected to copy down the date and the question(s) to your Daily Journal file and answer the question.
Before the end of class
Please do not leave your computer station until dismissed. The bell does not release you from class. Before the end of class, the subject matter will be reviewed and you will be given time to straighten up your area. Once the review is finished and the classroom is back in order, I will release the class
