Kindergarten Through Eighth Grade
Kindergarden was a very interesting time for me. I started in 1997 and ended in 1998. I went to a private church school called God's Fingerprints. Their program had me in kindergarden for an extra year. In this time I learned a lot about god. Today I reflect on my kindergarden years and now know that it truly affected me today.
The first grade was a very different time for me. I started the first grade in 1999. I went to Belview. I enjoyed this year because it was my first year in a public school. The best thing there was the lunch. It was amazing we would have popcorn shrimp. The first grade was a really good time for me.
In the second grade I moved to Aurora. Here I went to a school called Dartmouth. Here is where I started to do choir. I really enjoyed choir. My teacher was Ms. Hamilton. She was an amazing teacher. Her skills helped me improve my reading abilities.
The third grade was a bit of a good and bad year at the same time. I was still at Dartmouth. My teacher Ms. Murphy was always gone because most of her family died that year. The spring break in third grade started my bad luck. The spring break of '01 started my strain of injuries. I was playing soccer outside and I slipped on the ice and broke my foot. Like I said my third grade year was both good and bad at the same time.
The fourth grade I started a little late because I just moved to the area with my sister. I started to go to Samuels I still talk to my fourth grade teacher Ms. Demos. She was the best teacher I ever had. My fourth grade year was really good.
Fith grade really sucked. I was still at Samuels. I started off the year with the teacher I wanted, Ms. Sigermen. This was the year that DPS had the shortage of teachers, so my teacher was moved to a different school. Then I was put in Ms. Armatillos class. I only stayed in her class for two weeks. One day the principal called me down to her office. This scared me because I thought I was in trouble. It turned out that she wanted to move me to a higher level class, so my last fith grade teacher was Ms. Cress.
Now I moved onto sixth grade. This was a new start for me at a new school. I did all of my middle school career at Hamilton. Little did I know that this would be a bad but also a good idea at the same time. I had a lot of great teachers there, I also had some teachers that ruined english class for me. In the end of sixth grade I made many life long friends.
The seventh grade was a little bit better. I made more friends but I still had to deal with the teachers from the previous year. My highlight of this year was band. I had a lot of fun with Mr. Nita on all of out projects. The best thing was doing our small ensembles. In the end seventh grade was fun.
Finally eighth grade. This was probably my only good year at Hamilton. My favorite class had to of been a tie between science and math. Me and my friends had so much fun in these classes. My capstone of this year had to of been being with my friends everyday at lunch messing around. Thankfully I made the best of my eighth grade year.
